Benicar HTC 20mg/12.5mg  28 tabs (Almetec-Co), Olmesartan

THIS IS A BRAND MEDICATION

Each tablet of Almetec-CO ® for oral administration containing olmesartan medoxomil and hydrochlorothiazide. DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: In patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled on olmesartan medoxomil or hydrochlorothiazide alone, may be changed to Almetec-CO ® according to an individual dose adjustment. The antihypertensive effect of Almetec-CO ® increases in the order of concentrations of the active substances, olmesartan medoxomil and hydrochlorothiazide, respectively 20 and 12.5 mg, 40 mg and 12.5, 40 and 25 mg. Depending on the blood pressure response, the dose may be adjusted for periods of 2 to 4 weeks.

Almetec-CO ® should be administered once daily, with or without food and can be combined with other antihypertensive agents, as needed. We do not recommend more than one tablet a Day. Substitution: Almetec-CO ® can be replaced by their active substances separately. The maximum recommended daily dose is 40 mg olmesartan medoxomil, and hydrochlorothiazide is 50 mg. Patients with renal impairment may be given the recommended dose provided the creatinine clearance is greater than 30 ml / min. In patients with more severe renal insufficiency, diuretics are preferred to thiazides ASA therefore not recommended Almetec-CO ®. 

Patients with hepatic impairment: No dose adjustment necessary
